Your Partner in Tabletop Design
Welcome to the Department of Acts
Five friends, linked through shared tabletop gaming. We've been helping playtest, organise games and generally assisting with the local tabletop scene for some time.
We decided in early 2025... why not organise ourselves and offer our services a bit more formally.

Who Are We?
Each of us brings around 20 years of experience in board gaming, roleplaying, game mastering, tabletop wargaming, card gaming and other hobby areas... We've played everything. From 40k to Hail Caesar, Magic to Lorcana, Dungeons & Dragons to Shiver. We've also assisted in playtesting various games at various stages from white box alpha to full beta playtest - More in our testimonials area. But here is a run down of the team and what we bring when we work with you.
We are a unique group, with our varied careers we bring a large amount of skills to the table and treat every piece of work as a bespoke project.

Kris - With a Masters in Digital & Continual Improvement Kris works in the NHS as a Digital Transformation Lead, specialising in project management, continual improvement and frontline digitisation of health services. This lends itself well to board games and roleplay where the highly structured nature of clinical work compliments board games design documentation and rules structure.
Kris is a veteran of the UK Games Expo having been working with a large board games developer as a play tester and demo team member for over 5 years.

Rob - As a clinical sonographer Rob works in healthcare directly conducting ultrasound examinations on patients and helping to understand what they need. This requires extraordinary attention to detail and a level of accuracy that in some cases can mean the difference between successful treatment or patient harm.
He has successfully run roleplay campaigns for over a decade and brings all his interpersonal skills and attention to detail to all his gaming endeavours. He is also currently working hard to bring Six Ways Dead, a 28mm Western Fantasy style skirmish game to the market.

Max - A University teacher by trade, Max inspires the next generation of games designers the fundamentals of graphic design, game structures and oversees the Game Design degree programs at our local university. He constantly discusses the benefits of board gaming and roleplaying with his students and how they empower the imagination and help stretch creativity.
Our resident artist he is able to mock up designs and graphics faster than you can believe to lend visuals to our projects.

Jon - As one of the most highly respected drug and alcohol workers in our area he is the Operations Manager for a multi-award winning lived experience recovery organisation where he specialises in using art as therapy and running a board games club for mental health and wellbeing.
He is regularly organising and catering for large scale events at a bespoke venue in the North East Lincolnshire area and brings this experience to his roleplaying and board gaming endeavours where he has successfully run RPG campaigns that have spanned a literal decade.

Nathan - Working in a highly pressured Civil Service environment Nathan is responsible for a considerable amount of process and administration work that requires absolute accuracy at all times.
With a Bachelors degree in creative writing he is easily one of the most creative people in our group. He is able to spin stories and draw upon an encyclopaedic knowledge of the horror genre to craft imaginative and immersive characters.
